Tips to get moving
Boxes that you pack yourself must have lids, be sealed, and be strong enough to support their own weight. Keep books and paperwork in small boxes, linens in large boxes and everything else in medium boxes if possible.
- We will provide free wardrobe boxes for your clothes, but they must be returned upon completion of the move.
- The best type of tape to use is packaging tape. This tape is either clear or tan in color. Please do not use masking tape or duct tape as they may un-stick from the box during a move.
- Dresser drawers may remain full of clothes. Please do not have books, breakables or valuables in them. Four drawer filing cabinets can stay full. Lateral filing cabinets must be empty above the bottom two drawers.
- Small plants (under 4ft tall) should be packed in a box because they are easier to handle, less likely to be damaged, and occupy less space within the truck. Tall plants (over 4ft tall) may be moved as is. Please do not water the plants the morning of the move.
- Have your phone and utilities shut off the day after the move.
- Check to see if parking permits are required at either your current or new location.

We’ll even take back any materials left unused so you only pay for what you need!

Boxes
1.5 cu. ft box (book box)
Use for heavy or dense items including books, records, shoes, canned goods, kitchen small appliances, hand or power tools.
3 cu. ft box (general purpose)
Good for toys, lamp shades, pots and pans, kitchen utensils, etc.
4.5 cu. ft - 6 cu. ft box
For large lightweight items such as pillows, bedding, toys, plastic kitchen containers, lamp shades, etc.
Do not overload.
Wardrobe Boxes (equipped with a hanging bar)
For hanging clothes, curtains, and draperies. The bottom was not designed to support weight, no other items should be packed in the bottom of the box.
Dish packs
Specially designed for transporting dishes, glasses, bowls, and other kitchenware. Good for lamps, knickknacks, larger kitchen appliances and electronics.
Mirror boxes
Telescoping, large and small mirrors, large pictures, glass table tops.
Mattress boxes
Available in crib, twin, double, king/queen sizes.
